Women’s Bone Health Class

It’s never too late to take care of your bones, osteoporosis is preventable. This disease does not just occur in older women anymore. Today, more than 44 million people, mostly women, have either osteoporosis or low bone density and are at risk for developing worse conditions. Deterioration in posture and bone strength begins to happen as early as around 40 years old. Much of this early deterioration is due to decreasing muscle use through declining weight bearing activities and lack of resistive muscle training. The focus this class is to introduce you to weight bearing exercise and high intensity interval training to help with balance, postural correction and lessen the loss of bone density. Our specialists are highly trained and are excited to come along side to educate and improve your overall quality of life.

Class: Starting June 5th, Monday @ 2:00 and Thursday @ 11:00, 8 week enrollment 2x/week $120

Pain Management Class

Over 100 million Americans live with chronic pain and the effects can be devastating: increased hospitalizations, decrease ability to function, inability to work and depression. Our goal is to create an environment that is a whole mind body approach practicing corrective exercise, relaxation, stress reduction and reconditioning. End the cycle of chronic pain and take control of your life again.

PWR Moves II: A fitness class designed for those with Parkinson’s Disease or other movement disorders and proven to improve the symptoms of PD.  The class combines components of the Big and Loud Program through use of big movements, vocalization, aerobic exercise, balance training and resistive exercise.  This is more intensive version of PWR moves I, meant for those with higher functionality.  Must be safe to stand and move dynamically without risk of falling.

PWR Moves I: An adaptive fitness class meant for those with Parkinson’s.  Safe for those with fall risk.  Activities are primarily completed seated or with close supervision. Learn to regain functionality and self-confidence for daily tasks.  Caregivers can feel safe to leave their care receiver and seek some respite during the class.

PWR Boxing: A boxing fitness class aimed at improving endurance, agility, balance and coordination for those with Parkinson’s Disease or other movement disorders. All ability levels are welcome. Come and join us for a physical, emotional and mental workout! All ages and abilities are welcome at this time (subject to change depending on attendance).

Adaptive Fitness II: An adaptive fitness class that will help anyone regain strength, cardio, and endurance regardless of their ability level. Get moving and get stronger while the Exercise Specialists adapt exercises to your level of ability.

Adaptive Fitness I: An adaptive fitness class that will help anyone regain strength, cardio, and endurance regardless of their level of ability. Specifically designed for a higher level of assistance or use of wheelchair is required. Get moving and get stronger while the Exercise Specialists adapt exercises to your level of ability.

Stroke Fitness:   If you have had a stroke and want to keep active and fit to continue to work on your movement goals in a small group setting, you will love this class!!  Must be able to understand and follow 2 to 3 step commands and be able to sit to stand with only little assistance to safely participate

*It is necessary to have independent cognitive ability as well as adequate arm strength and trunk balance for use of hand weights in all adaptive classes. We offer one on one sessions for those at Level 1. Please call with any questions 507-259-7570.
